Not likely. They'll more than likely fail validation on the lower reading and estimate instead.
That might depend on the company policy or individual. A threshold limit may mean it would be ignored however strict compliance states they should correct it.
The value is no low that it shouldn't take too long to catch up. However, I've seen this where it's been 5000Kwh so it could be over a year before the catch up.
The DC will fail the BSC validation on the reading and pass it to the Supplier stating the reading goes into the opening reading.
If it's over the threshold the Supplier uses (250, 500, 1000 varies by utility) then they will dispute the opening reading.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
