Club Lloyds.......not quite goodbye

Are you saying that they're refusing to send out any tickets at all, or that they're only sending a single person's allowance of six?
The latter would seem entirely reasonable to me, but the former not so....
They sent tickets out after the first contact. These came through the post and not email.
Then after i contacted them for her (via email) this time round, about 9 months or so in to the next round of tickets (as in she should've had her next lot about 9 months ago, but didn't) they came back with that as the reasoning. They funded her account with an amount to cover the 6 tickets but said that she wont be getting any more tickets unless my dads name is removed from the account and that that is the reason she hasn't been receiving tickets via email.it seems rather odd to want to have a joint account with a deceased person.
I'm not disagreeing with you.
It's not something that i would do and i know it's not something that most people would do, probably very close to 100% of people i would imagine, especially after 8 years, but it's what she wants to do. She gets upset when any of us talks about getting rid of things that were his, regardless of how significant or insignificant they are, including a name on a bank statement, so we don't push the matter.0 -

A few years ago she changed her account to a Club Lloyds one & opted in to the cinema tickets offer but never received them.
It sounds like they have concerns about her conduct (are they implying she's misled them maybe?) but the fact that they're prepared to offer equivalent value would suggest that they're not entirely unsympathetic.
Perhaps reading between the lines, is it you pursuing the matter as a point of principle or is she really desperately keen to get her hands on some cinema tickets?
It does seem like the most pragmatic response is to do as they suggest or to let it lie but if you/she are determined to push on, then submitting a formal complaint and/or filing a subject access request would seem the only realistic options....0 -
I don't have cinema tickets. I have the gourmet society card.
Although the latest card was received ok in the past they have needed reminding when the card had expired before they sent out a new one.0 -
Did your father pass away before your mother upgraded the account to Club Lloyds, and had she already informed them of his death prior to this?It sounds like they have concerns about her conduct (are they implying she's misled them maybe?) but the fact that they're prepared to offer equivalent value would suggest that they're not entirely unsympathetic.Perhaps reading between the lines, is it you pursuing the matter as a point of principle or is she really desperately keen to get her hands on some cinema tickets?
I asked her if she'd received her cinema tickets, as i had just had mine renewed and she said not. 12 months previous she kept asking me if i could get in touch with them for her and get it sorted. I tried my best but in the end she had to call them and discuss it.
She asked if i could contact them for her this time round to ask why she hadn't received them once again so i did.
When she got the letter she asked me why i'd mentioned my dad being on the statement. I told her i hadn't, i read the letter & that's when i noticed they said he was the reason she wasn't getting them due to the situation outlined earlier. She said that's fine, she'll go without the cinema tickets in future then as she doesn't want his name removing.0 -
I expect Lloyds and BOS receipts have gone down a lot today! Not wanting to put it all in Marcus I have been looking at Oaknorth for 6 months paying 1.60%."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0
