Benefits Help/Pregnancy

I need some advice.

My daughter is due to finish her apprenticeship and not being taken on due to staff cuts. She has just found out she's pregnant and in a panic, she would rather have a job and be paying her way and I totally know that but need to know what benefits she would be entitled to for time being? Unless she can get a job in this short period.

Can she claim benefits if at home with her parents whom are working, is there a way to find out roughly how much she will get now and when she's had baby. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Universal Credit https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/
Can check entitlement with a calculator https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
See also Maternity Allowance https://www.gov.uk/maternity-allowance. She may be eligible depending on employment history.

Your daughter is a separate benefit unit to you so your finances do not affect her benefit entitlement.

For UC she is entitled to £251.77/month if under 25, otherwise £317.82/month.
Once baby is born there will be an additional £231.67/month
Will also get Child benefit of £20.70/week
For UC the above assumes she does not have savings over £6,000 which would reduce her entitlement (if over £16,000 cannot claim UC).

If she is eligible for Maternity Allowance this will be deducted from any UC entitlement so there may be no UC payable if MA is worth more.

Following birth may also be able to get a Sure Start Grant if she has been getting UC https://www.gov.uk/sure-start-maternity-grant
