Grass mesh for parking space on grass

Hi all, parking in our road is a nightmare and is likely to become far worse once the fine for parking with a wheel on the pavement comes into force as it's the only way to park here.

The house I live in is owned by the local council, it has a dirt track down the back of it which already has a dropped kerb onto the main road (the dirt track backs right onto the garden).

My plan is to remove the old fence at the back and replace it with a fence that allows room for parking in a section of the garden and to lay heavy duty (1800g) grass reinforcement mesh in the bay. I've already gone through this plan with the landlord and have it in writing that they are happy for the work to go ahead and for the space to be used to park my car (as long as it's kept roadworthy).

My question is: Has anybody had any experience with using a grass reinforcement mesh driveway over the space of a year or so? Did it hold up and work well or was it a nightmare? Is there enough traction when it's rained or snowed?

A couple of notes to add, the grass/soil area at the back of the garden is heavily compacted and as such holds the car well, the mesh will only be added to increase traction (as the garden is on a slight downhill slope) and to avoid any rutting that may occur.

Just for completeness, this is the mesh I am currently thinking of using: https://www.matsgrids.co.uk/grass-reinforcement/54-grass-reinforcement-mesh-tm1800.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw2qHsBRAGEiwAMbPoDJadhMJICwEWleZmu9PIeYqMVGVqPcO8ZmCdvksy_81zwj3me0ytrRoCdjQQAvD_BwE#/select_roll_size-1m_x_10m
I may be wrong sometimes, I learn a little every time I'm corrected.
