Connecting flight that often doesn't connect? What to do??

Schiphol’s pretty efficient, I leave my desk in Amsterdam fifty minutes before my departure and haven’t Missed a flight yet.
That said, yes, you’ve not left a huge buffer, but it’s not worth worrying about. You’ll probably be on time, if you are not they’ll probably hold your plane and if the don’t you’ll probably still get acceptable seats on the next one.0 -
110 visits for me in last 3yrs and only 2 missed connections - mine are generally scheduled at 50mins and involve going through passport control and a walk to the end of B/C/D gates - the OP's should be an easier transit.
The OP has a contingency that there is a later flight from CDG to HKG - it's likely KLM would stick them on an AMS-CDG shuttle and then the AF later AF flight to HKG
So you know your way around AMS, as do I, we know where the transfer desks are, which way the gates are etc, it doesn't sound as if OP does. Just knowing your way around makes a difference, AMS can be completely overwhelming for a newcomer, especially compared to Bristol!!!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I think if I or my partner was a nervous flyer and concerned about keeping pre-booked seats, I'd have booked a non-stop flight to Hong Kong - even if it meant a longer journey to the UK airport.0
