auris hybrid
hi
need some advise I am thinking of buying 2012 toyota auris hybrid to replace my 9 year old 1.5dci nissan qashqai as i only do city driving and hardly ever go on motorway. Some of my friends have said that hybrid batteries only last 10 years and after that you need to replace them. I have checked prices with toyota and they have said batteries start from £1141.Can someone please advise this is true or not as i dont service my car with manufacturer instead buy the parts myself and give it to a mechanic who I have been using for years.

As far as I know, only Toyota dealers can carry out a Hybrid Health Check and this can extend the battery warranty to 11 years.

I drive an Auris Hybrid and as long as you get the hybrid checks done it will be fine.
