YouTube video to facebook

If I post a video from YouTube to Facebook it appears as a thumbnail; not very pretty and it certainly wouldn’t encourage anyone to click. Is there a way to show the full image and make it clickable

The reason I’m asking is because my friend wants to send a singing video to her nephew.

I have tried the Facebook De ugging tool but it seems to be directed towards marketers, I can’t get it to work. I’ve carried out a web search and all the new tube videos seem to be directed at those with their own channel

Anyway your advice will be great.y appreciated

Yeah its supposed to do that. YouTube videos don't auto play if you embed them on Facebook, but if you click on them they then should either play or open a new tab and play that way.

The thumbnails used to represent the videos are taken from the video itself. If your YouTube account is verified and in good standing and whatever else you can apply a custom thumbnail to it but that may be overkill for what maybe half a dozen views?
