The on-air presenters will announce the method of entry during the shows which host competitions rounds.

Calls will be charged at a local rate. Mobile and Networks may cost considerably more.
2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN
Online Competition:
Online entries are restricted to one online entry per person.
Entrants must go online to planetradio.co.uk/magic to enter to win the prize. Entrants must fill in all mandatory contact details and answer the questions correctly in order to be put in the draw to win.
The winning entry will be selected by random electronic draw on 21/10/2019 (competition closes on 20/10/2019 23:59) and the winner will be contacted and informed they have won the prize.
On-air Competition – Monday- Friday
Each day (Monday through to Friday) a New Zealand themed activity that Magic presenter Tom Price or Absolute Radio presenter Sarah Champion will have undertaken will be discussed on-air during the Magic Radio breakfast show and/or the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show. The conversation will take place between the on-air breakfast presenters and presenters Tom Price (for Magic) and Sarah Champion who will be joining the show live from New Zealand.
Each day during the breakfast show(s) two listeners will be selected at random and will be bought on-air to go ‘head to head’. The Magic or Absolute breakfast presenters (depending on which radio station you are listening to) will pose a question to the listeners based on the contents of the conversation between Tom Price or Sarah Champion and the breakfast show presenters and they must give their answer (plus any pre recorded production the producers may use to create the competition round). The question asked will be of the ‘closest to the pin’ format, for example, the listener who manages to provide an answer (as a number) closest to the number stated during the conversation between Tom Price and the presenter, will be that day’s winner. In the instance of a ‘dead heat’ occurring after this process, we will offer out another ‘closest to the pin question’ which the contestants have to answer, again with a conclusive winner being found, according to whoever picks the number closest to the one the presenter states during the competition round.
Off the back of this process we will end up with one winner daily winner per station (ten winners in total over the duration of the daily competition rounds on both Magic and Absolute Radio). Each of these winners will get a daily competition prize of one thousand pounds GBP. Each day the contestant who does not win- by getting the closest answer- will not win a prize.
At the end of each competition round the winner of the daily contest. Will be asked an additional question by a Magic Radio or Absolute Radio producer. This question or answer will not be broadcast. This will be pre-recorded and used as the contestants final entry in the Saturday finals on both Absolute Radio and Magic Radio, meaning we will not bring anyone ‘live to air’ during the Saturday competition.
SATURDAY FINAL
The eventual final will consist of two contestants out of the five on each station, Absolute Radio and Magic Radio with the closest two answers to the ‘nearest to the pin’ question (which will be posed to each contestant after the daily competition Monday- Friday). These final two (two on Magic radio and two on Absolute radio) will then be part of the grand final which will play out on air between 0600 - 1000 on Saturday 5th October at a time announced by the presenter on Magic Radio and between 10:00 and 14:00 at a time announced by the presenter on Absolute Radio.
ABSOLUTE RADIO AND MAGIC RADIO GRAND FINAL TO WIN THE HOLIDAY TO NEW ZEALAND
The final two contestants will each be asked 3 questions, whoever answers the most questions correctly will win. In the event of a dead heat a ‘nearest to the pin’ question will be posed to obtain the overall winner of the holiday prize.
The four finalists (two on Magic Radio and two on Absolute Radio) will be informed they have been selected for this contest by the production manager at a time stated in section 3. If a finalist cannot/ does not want to play in the final contest we will select a new contestant(s) from the ‘final five’ with the next nearest answer and they will be selected to play in the final Saturday competition round.
The six daily competition finalists (Three on Magic Radio and Three on Absolute Radio) will be informed by email they were not finalists and will not be invited to play the final Saturday competition round. This may take up to 28 days and the final Saturday competition round will take place before they are informed. The answers of the contestants who did not make the final Saturday competition may be read-out on-air before the competition round as part of the show’s editorial content.
