Adding music to an iPhone

iTunes and syncing ... one of the reasons i'll be looking at shifting to Android when my iPhone dies. I suppose this is easy for people who know but i'm not one of them.


i used to connect my iPhone to iTunes on my PC - but then iTunes on that stopped working which made me then have to switch to controlling it via iTunes on my laptop.


I plugged my iPhone in and tried to sync some music but it warned me that it was connected to another library and would wipe my videos and music ... so i stopped.


I then read you can manually configure music so you don't have to lose your music - so i ticked that box, hit apply but still got the same warning.




So there's 2 questions to this really...


1) How do i put music on here without losing media already on here?
2) When i open music, how do i remove all the music that i've ever purchased through iTunes ever since i ever had an iTunes account .... going back 11 years? It's pretty annoying having to scroll past music that isn't even on the phone just to get to music that is.

Undoubtedly iphone took so much time for getting something through iTunes.
Otherwise iPhone is really good if we compare it with any other Android phone

I did try putting music on using iMazing which seemed to work, although one of the tracks i put on i wasn't able to play on my phone as it's "not currently available in your country or region".



Not very good.




Any takers on question 2?

It's a bit annoying having a list of all the stuff i've ever purchased through iTunes. Most of it isn't actually on my PC any more. I don't want to delete it forever or whatever, i just want select tracks on my iPhone and nothing else. I'll only use it while at the gym so i want a few specific tracks on there, not a whole range of everything i've ever bought.
