I’d second the sulfate free suggestion. I had an itchy painful scalp on and off for 30 years which I thought was stress related. Tried all the medicated and gentle shampoos going and even saw a trichologist for ages to no avail. A few years ago I had a Brazilian blow dry and had to switch to sulfate free shampoo to preserve it, and my itchy scalp cleared up overnight and has never returned. I also had the itchy ears - probably caused by shampoo running down when I washed my hair.

Thank you, I have changed to sulfate free and can feel a difference in my hair. It was very soft and fluffy before, too soft and fluffy if I'm honest. I have used a coal tar based shampoo as well.
I went to the chemist about my ears as I thought ear drops and they just said to use olive oil.
Just waiting now to see if everything improves
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better

    UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted

The pharmacist said that? Or the counter assistant?

Pharmacist, I asked to speak to her but the assistant told her my problem and the pharmacist didn't even come and speak to me. I'm going into town on Fri so will try in Boots Chemist and see if I get a better answer

Oh please don't worry, I suppose at the end of the day it's a very minor problem,
I rarely go to the doctors unless I really need to. I go twice a year, once for my thyroid blood test and once for my COPD checkup so it's not as I'm a pest.
I will see how I get on when I go to town, Thank you xx
