Thomas cook flight booked through Opodo

I've booked flights with Thomas Cook through Opodo with a credit card, In the event the company goes bankrupt, will I still be able to claim under section 75?

Thanks

Good question. You haven't paid the company (that may or may not fail) directly but still worth making a claim, some card issuers will pay out but the loser would be Opodo and they may demand that the bank refuse payment as they have done all they were paid to do, which was to book the flights and issue the tickets. Not only that, but you will have paid more than if you had booked directly with TC Airlines. Fingers crossed everything is resolved.

How did the transaction show on your credit card statement?
From memory last time I used TC for flights using Expedia the transaction showed up as TC not expedia.
I assume Expedia get commission for the sale so in this case Opoda would lose out on that but no more.
