Help - error message

I keep getting the following message all the time I am online. Last night I deleted Macafee and kept AVG and since then I keep getting the message.


"the procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32dll"

I tried doing a search on google, but most of the answers made no sense to me. I need an idiot's guide on how to fix if possible!

Re-install McAfee Security Center, if you still have the disk, then follow the instructions here

Hi

I have downloaded the above link but it is asking me to register first, do I have to register to use this as I only want to get rid of McAfee? My machine has been so slow since McAfee was installed its driving me mad, hence my getting rid of it.
