  • Good spot !
  • Read your thread Frank, I did exactly the same as you, except when I tried to explain what happened I admitted I was driving.
I wish I'd found this earlier.

I find it utterly bizarre that they chase people who have paid for the full period of parking, but hopefully CEL will drop the case once they realise that you are not going to roll over, and will turn their attention to easier prey.
  • Email the defence last night, shows received on MCOL.

So many claims, so few people with so little education or common sense, bound to happen.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Afternoon all, hope you're all well.
    Quick question.
It's been a month since the cut off date (24th March) for me to submit a defence.
    What happens next?
Not sure if the claimant needs to submit proof of claim or I wait for the N180.
    cheers.

'What happens and when' is a substantial piece of advice for newbies, written by legally qualified expert 'bargepole' and can be found in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post. It saves us having to type it all out for everyone who asks (multiple times a day). That sticky thread has to be your 'go to' all the way through the legal process you are now in.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You can download a N180 DQ if you are concerned, as KeithP's earlier reply told you.
