Caravan Purchase cooling off period?

i, this is quite a long story, I paid £1000 deposit on Sunday 15th September for a new caravan that retails at £22000. This was on the basis that I could provide a full service history as my current caravan has damp in the front lockers that would be covered under warranty for the repairs. I am unable to find the paperwork for 2018 though the caravan has been serviced every year, I have all the others.
It was hand written at the bottom of the agreement that if this was not possible then the deposit would be returned. I rang the dealers, Wandahome of South Cave, on Tuesday 17th and told them I could not find the paperwork and asked for my deposit back. They refused and said they would look at the deal again without the service reports.
They said they would ring me back but failed to do so.
I have found another dealer who will give me the same deal on the same caravan but take the van 'as is' with the damp and have costed the repairs into the deal.
I tried again today to get my deposit back and they said they do not return deposits, it is in very small print on the back that this is the case, they did not mention this at any time.
Do I have any rights to get my deposit refunded?
Do I have any kind of cooling off period?
Thanks in advance

If it is written by them on the paperwork then you are entitled to the deposit back. By writing it on the paperwork they have made a variation to their T&Cs.0

Who wrote on your agreement that the deposit could be returned?
Was is put on there by the salesman that you dealt with or was it already on there when you were given it?
Another thing is how did you pay the deposit? as this will determine the options available if they won't repay you.0 -
It could also be said you are withholding the 2018 report to get your deposit back.
Are they saying the deal is of ,or are you just hoping it is? If they are still willing to do the deal without 2018 they you are stuck, if they aren't willing to go ahead then the terms of the contract must be upheld.0 -

Hmmmm........ why would you try and sell (trade in) a caravan without having the necessary "under warranty" repairs done first?
Looks like you are in breach of contract.0
