SAR want further info

Hi,
I've sent the SAR to Premier Park. They have responded asking for proof of ownership of the vehicle; V5 details or written authorisation from the keeper named on logbook. The car was sold over 3 years ago- to a company to scrap it! I have no proof to send and they will apparently not compete the SAR without it.
Any ideas?
They have also asked for 2 forms of ID- Am I okay to send this to them?

do not use your passport or driving licence due to the extra data on them to which they are not entitled

I would use 2 redacted utility bills or similar that have your current address on them , in order to prove that you are you, because only you can request your own data and they must ensure that you are who you say you are, DPA works both ways

if you have an N1 claim form , use that as one ID

so no DOB , no DRIVER NUMBER , no PASSPORT details , nothing other than confirming your name and address

you should have attached the proof of ID to the SAR in the first place
  • Any idea about proving the vehicle was mine?

irrelevant , you are asking for your own data , nothing to do with the vehicle as such

you are only entitled to ask for your own data in a SAR

There is no issue with sending a passport or driving licence. This has been done many times with no issue

the issue is that it has your personal passport number ,and the DL has your date of birth (driver number)

they are not entitled to that data and I would never give out those details to non official employees , only police or the courts or government departments etc
