I am fairly new to this PIP stuff .
i have recently been granted PIP at te lower level on personal needs .
if i understand correctly-PIP replaced disability allowance.
as i have now been granted PIP ,does that in effect classify me as disabled-and tus am i entitled to use disabled public facilities such as toilets (would be particularly useful ) and different seats on buses etc
do i need to take some sort of evidence with me ?
what would that consist of-i can only think of the letter granting me my PIP payment.
sorry for questions but i am a bit naive/new on all of this.
I want to get what i am entitled to -but not going upsetting people along the way.
apart from the monthly assistance allowance is there some sort of leaflet advising what other 'benefits' (non financial )that i may be entitled to ?

You don't need to show proof of a disability benefit to be able to use disabled toilets or the disabled seats on a bus.I am fairly new to this PIP stuff .

The daily living award will entitle you to a CEA card for cinema use, this will allow a carer free entry when with you.
https://www.ceacard.co.uk/
It will also entitle a carer free entry or reduced entry fee into some attractions but that will depend on where you're going and for this you'll need to look at the individual website.

Whether it entitles you to any extra money for benefits will depend on what other benefits you claim, if you claim them.0 -

This is a really important point - they are there for people who *need* them, to use them. Even if you have an invisible disability, which many people forget but thankfully there is a bit more awareness now. If you have a genuine need, you don't need to justify your use of such provisions to anyone
(even if other people think you owe them an explanation, it's entirely up to you if you want to explain at all or not). 0 -

from making a claim for pip do you get any payment in the mean time waiting0

Not of PIP for a new claim... no... but study the following link if you're moving from DLA.from making a claim for pip do you get any payment in the mean time waiting
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/help-with-your-claim/how-to-claim/If you don't get DLA, your first payment for PIP will start from the date you make your claim. It will cover the length of time it takes the DWP to make its decision.
So basically if you're making a new claim for PIP and get awarded PIP you'll get money backdated to the date you made the claim after that decision is made to award you PIP. Obviously if they decide you don't qualify for any rate of either component of PIP then you won't get any money unless you later successfully challenge their decision and once again would get money backdated to when you applied."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
