House of Fraser Store Card

I had a House of Fraser store card when I was a student. I took it out in 1997. Santander are looking after the PPI complaints. I put in a complaint and they have said the sale of the PPI was not substantially flawed and on the Plevin sides it's time-barred.
However, they have said that if I can send evidence that I was a student they will look at if I was ineligible for the policy or if it may have been unsuitable for me.
Has anyone else come across this scenario? It would be great to hear the outcomes.

Plenty of people have been asked for further evidence to support their complaint and will have been refunded if they provided compelling evidence.
No point asking others what their experience was, however, since every complaint is different.
Can you actually prove you were a student at the time you purchased the insurance? If so, you should simply provide this to the Bank.

Evidence is often required when you make an allegation where there is no data at their end to support the allegation. They are allowed to do this.I had a House of Fraser store card when I was a student. I took it out in 1997.
Did you state that you were a student on the application form or did you tell them that you were employed? (be honest as many people do lie on applications). if you said you were employed then you would be expected to prove you were a student as you are contradicting your application. If you said you were a student then you would expect them to accept that now.
When did you start employment? Have you got your contract of employment?and on the Plevin sides it's time-barred.
Unless the account was still open after 2008, then that would be the case.0
