2nd chance for ppi

Hi Long story short is I previously,to my error, used the claims guys to win a PPI claim & paid the huge fee but now I have checked with my bank just before the deadline to see if something was missed & it seems they have come back with something they missed in error, however i did this all myself (lesson learned) but I assume due to the fact the claims co asked previously it seems the bank have advised the claims guys too who have sent me a whole new form for more details (that I have already given to the bank) headed "letter of Authority".
Questions to those that know far more than me is does this new form superseed the old one so if I dont sign this off they wont be able to get their mitts on anything I may get back ? They had their big bite off me before & think this smaller amount should find its way just to me. Any constructive help would be appreciated.

You must not sign that letter of authority. It allows the CMC to bill you against any new redress amount. Without the LOA signed, the CMC cannot bill you lawfully (the ministry of justice consider it fraud if they try).

Just reading through the link you posted , would it make a difference that the main clain previously settled was through the bank account & this one is through their credit card company ?0

No.
The CMC is meant to act on your behalf. It failed to do that when you employed them by not identifying this missed case (even if the bank records were not complete at the time). Their contract ended when you paid them their fee.0 -
Hi all me again..... so things evolved, I got paid out not as vast amount but something. The wonderful guys a Barclaycard seemed to be obliged to let the claims guys know this as they had previously acted on my behalf, so now Im getting calls & letters asking for their cut..... where do I stand now as I didnt sign or sned back the last authority letter would the old one still be valid or do I take them on ?
Better in my pocket than theirs I say !0 -
You now make a formal complaint that they closed the complaint previously and that the contract ended when they closed it and that no new letter of authority was obtained.
If they reject the complaint, you refer it to the FOS. The FOS are currently upholding almost half of all complaints about CMCs.0
