Scs / ukpc letter before claim help

Hi guys,
I’m sure you get this all the time but i have read the newbies & a variety of similar cases to mine.. I just want to know if i’m along the right lines with what to do next...
The background story is at work there is a parking permit area in which you need a permit to park.. on some occasions the permit may or may not have been displayed clearly therefore ending up with fines on occasions...
I have just received my letter before claim from scs with the options of what to do..
Would this be the point I send a SAR to the parking firm suggested in the newbies thread?
As well as that would I also write a letter to SCS telling them that I have asked for a SAR from their client & require a restriction of date processing and the case to be put on hold?
You guys must deal with us amateurs a lot so I am very appreciative of any advice given and I thank you guys in advance!!

It is not a fine.
It is never too early to send an SAR. You will need to include a copy of the vehicle V5 as proof of ID if you are the keeper, or a redacted utility bill if not. Hire/lease vehicles have a whole different process to follow.
Tell the scamicitors in writing that although you deny the debt, you are seeking debt advice and so require them to put your case on hold. Use the words in bold. This should get you another month which is why you need to fire off the SAR now to ensure you get the response before the claim arrives.
Scammers are known to deliberately take photos of a car from specific angles so that a ticket or permit is obscured from view. This is obviously sharp practice as well as being a breach of the BPA CoP, section 25a I think.
Check the photos you already have and also any more that come with the SAR response.
Watch out for fake add ons in the claim over and above the £100 pcn charge which is not allowed. Read beamerguy's Abuse of Process thread if that happens.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
To add to Fruitcake's post, you should be made aware that UKPC are known fraudsters and fake pictures so you must double check on everything from them
You have permit which could well have slipped off the dashboard and the courts take a very dim view with the dodgy legals timewasting and such a case would be trivial.
SCSLaw are simply small fry and if they don't play a sensible game they can be reported to the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority)
What does the letter say, does it give you 30 days to respond, how much are they claiming ?0 -
Hey guys thanks for the support! I had sent off for a SAR but that’s all I have done at this moment of time...
SCS law are charging me for 8 separate tickets from the same UKPC plot of land.
They want £160 per ticket which is outrageous!!
Some of the photos are of the dash & others are from behind the vehicle so how would that stand in a court of law?
Would I now wait to hear back from the SAR and create a defence with the pictures I receive back from them?
At this point I am assuming I will receive a CCJ next but can I prepare my defence before this?
Thanks again guys!0 -

Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra work. Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2019/8/contents/enacted Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking CompaniesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Of course you do not owe £160 per ticket, SCSLaw are scamming you and worst of all, this is ABUSE OF PROCESS where they are attempting to circumvent .........
1: POFA2012
2: The Supreme Court
3: The courts own ruling of double recovery
ABUSE OF PROCESS

The question for SCSLaw is ....
ON WHAT AUTHORITY DO THEY HAVE TO ADD ON AMOUNTS NOT ALLOWED BY LAW AND ATTEMPTNG TO OVER RIDE THE SUPREME COURTS RULING IN THE BEAVIS CASE
Adding £60 per ticket is total abuse and they are trying to scam the court0
