Postage headache returning faulty bed

Got a flatpack bed which is not the one in the pictures and a number of the parts don't match the assembly instructions. As such it's impossible to assemble correctly. I could ask for part replacements but I've lost all faith in the company that sold me it now so I'm just going to say it's faulty and get a refund.
Unfortunately, returning this thing would be a nightmare. I'm never going to be able to lug it to a post office and I've never used any delivery service. The company says they'll collect returns at a £49 charge but I don't know if they'll offer this when I say it's faulty. I've read that seller has to cover the cost of return delivery for faulty goods, but does that mean I can send it however I like or do I have to demonstrate I went with an appropriate 'cheap' option? I'm wondering about seeing if there are services which will come round the house, box it all up, and deliver it, but fear that the company will look at my receipt for such a service and say "no we're not paying that much you should have found cheaper" or something.
I just want this problem gone

You'll probably be expected to box it up yourself but it's likely they will just collect it since it's a service they offer.0

Surely you arent returning it, you're rejecting it.
How did you pay0
