Switch from a Basic Bank Account

In the coming weeks I will be switching to either NatWest or HSBC in order to get the cash bonus offered by the bank. However, I was wondering if it made a difference if I was making the switch from a Basic Current Account? In other words, would a Basic account be considered not eligible for a cash switch incentive even if it is covered by the CASS?
So far, I haven't seen anywhere in the T&Cs of both banks that Basic Current accounts are NOT eligible - the only requirement for the switch to be eligible is for the bank to be part of the CASS.
Has anyone successfully made a switch form a Basic Account (for example, Virgin Money or Barclays) and received a cash switch incentive? Thanks in advance

Yes, eligible for CASS and switching incentives without a doubt0

As far as i know, a current account is a current account whether it be basic, packaged or premium, and therefore should be eligible for any switching bonuses as long as the switch T&C's are met0

Some basic accounts (e.g. Cash Account by Metro Bank) don't have the option for switching service. Not sure if that only applies to switching TO them or also switching FROM them.0
