Which payment method offers the most protection to chargeback?

Hello
It seems many companies often scam consumers and they refuse to refund.
What is the best way to be protected from such situations and easily apply and get chargeback?
I want to easily be able to get my money back in case the company has scammed me.
Thanks

If the amount of the purchase is £100+ then paying (some - even just £10) by credit card offers more protection than paying by debit card. CC enables Section 75 protection; DC only offers a chargeback.
S75 is legal protection; chargeback is a voluntary scheme and the other party can challenge it.
Best protection of all is to research before purchase to ensure you know who you're contracting with.0 -

Just one bit to add to that.
For S75 to apply, the individual price of an item must be over £100 and not just the combined total.
So if you buy 2 items at £50 each then no S75 cover but 1 item at £100 is covered (provided that the rest of the S75 requirements are met).0 -
For items less than £100 should I buy them with dc or cc for maximum protection?0

In my personal experience I've found Amex to be very good and on-side with the customer regarding chargebacks.
Twice I've bought items from ebay that were either fake or not as described. Both times Amex approved the chargeback and credited my account within a few minutes (you can raise a chargeback simply by clicking on a transaction on the web site)
Far better than, for example, going through the ridiculous dispute process on Paypal that takes forever and having to deal with all the nonsense that goes with it.0 -
