Does anyone know what the stages of Forces Help to Buy are and roughly how long it takes from start to finish?
Someone said you can’t apply for FHTB until you have a mortgage offer? I’m not sure if that’s correct, as surely you can’t offer on a house until you know you can get FHTB?
Thank you in advance, just not finding any guidance clear!

We're currently buying using the maximum fhtb. We applied when we got our agreement in principle not when we got our full mortgage offer. You have to provide solicitors details and then the solicitors deal with everything from there. He got a form that he had to get signed by his co and a couple of other people. Once that was sent back he got a promissory note which he had to sign and we're at the stage of fhtb asking for the solicitors bank details to transfer the money. It's taken around 6 weeks so far and we're pretty much there.0
