Hi,
What sort of price should i be paying for installation of a new fuse box.
The one i currently have is so old and i've been quoted £550, is this about right?
Thank you.

depends on where you are in the country but if its using rcbos and surge protection its there or there abouts
if its dual rcd with no surge protection i think its possibly overpriced

But assuming a simple domestic installation which isn't overly large, and assuming there aren't significant issues to be addressed with the existing wiring, then it doesn't sound a world away.
However depending on the age of the wiring, level of maintenance, number of alterations/additions etc. then it may be unreasonable to assume that additional works won't be required.0
