Sometimes it's 50mins, sometimes 35 mins and sometimes even 2 minutes
Is this normal? I heard the app omits clean files which it's scanned before

As I recall, Bitdefender “remembers” clean files following the initial installation scan and adds them to a cache. It then adds any files identified as clean as a result of real-time scanning and its SmartScan feature.
Unless these cached files are accessed or modified then they will be excluded from any future on-demand scans which reduce scan times.0
