Cap 1 Classic...... Do they offer anything if you cancel?....

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of Cap 1 offering any incentive to stay if you cancel a card?

They tried their hardest to persuade me to stay, but didn't offer anything in terms of incentives or increasing the credit limit etc.

Oh well Lynxptc, I was hoping for an upgrade to the Platinum card....... If I dont get that they dont keep my custom lol! BT is already winging its way to the lovely 0% world of Egg so il be making the call this week lol!

They just offered me a pointless BT at 5.9%, then again I haven't used it for years.

To be honest I hated using it anyway because of the idea that people knew why I had it ie: Bad/Poor/No Credit History so its no odds on me getting rid of it.

try asking them to upgrade to one of their other cards

Oh I will do.... Got my sights set on the Platinum 4% cashback..... Cant see them doing it though. Enough talk on here about people not getting it.....
