What did you do with your Tax Rebate?

Heya, I got a letter today, informing that I'll be getting a tax refund of nearly £600.
Unexpected, but happy.
I'm thinking of just investing it all when it shows up in my account, as I don't really want to spend it, and rather put it away somewhere.
Those who have had tax refunds, what did you do with yours? Do you wish that you had done something different with it in hindsight, and what would that be if so?

Last I received one I put half of it towards bills and debts and the other half in the bank. Then I took myself out for a nice meal.0

I think the last one I had was about £4 - it got lost in the noise.0

I had a tax bill from the HMRC for about £250, I went through my payslips and re-did the sums using their formulas and sent them an updated version with a request for a £70 rebate. They sent me a cheque. A bought a coat, I call it my tax coat. I still have it 14yrs later.GOAL:- £400k in Savings by March 2026 SAVINGS: – £392,504 COMPLETE GOALS - Debt Free, Mortgage Free, £350k Savings Save 12k in 2025 #41 = £26,026 / £25,0000

You could put it in a pension and get an additional rebate on top - though of course what you are getting is not really a rebate, its money you accidentally lent to HMRC for a while.0 -
