Amex Dispute (Duplicate Payment)

in Credit cards
Hi
I reserved a hotel room abroad earlier this year and presumably the hotel put a hold on my Amex credit card for the full payment which was due to be made 30 days prior to arrival. Some weeks later I changed the reservation slightly by removing the transfer. I then rang again to change the credit card to avoid paying the non-sterling transaction fee and rang again to make the full payment (minus the transfer) on this (new) card in August (as there were instances of customer's payments not going through and their rooms being cancelled and I wanted to avoid that).
Despite having paid only 10 or so days before, last week full payment was taken on my Amex card (including the transfer cost), I have contacted the hotel but probably due to English not being their first language, they are saying it is the bank's fault and they have no record of the transaction. My email to the GM has gone unanswered. I have therefore raised a dispute with Amex under paid by other method (or something like that).
Has anyone been in a similar situation and had a favourable outcome please. I've uploaded screenshots of the other credit card payment and emails etc to the dispute btw.
Thank you
MH

Many people have had a favourable outcome.
I wouldn't expect any problems in you getting it refunded.0
