Does anyone know the criteria for claiming this benefit ? It seems to be arandom answer depending on whom you ask.
As many people here I have been called in for assessments and failed and won at times.
It appears no one clearly knows the rules for this benefit and that is disturbing to me.

Oh how interesting! For the basic disability premium:If you do not qualify, you may still get the premium if you’ve been unable to work for at least a year.
(If anyone's qualified that way, was it based on a year since the start of long-term sickness absence, obviously with fit notes for the entire time, or a year since leaving/losing your job due to ill health? Edit: that was a stupid question, of course there are no disability premiums in Universal Credit - as if magically it gets cheaper to live being disabled just by virtue of having to claim UC instead of anything else. Might still be relevant for anyone else still on legacy benefits though.)0 -
As your question is related to the severe disability premium then it will depend what benefits you claim. Details of the eligibility criteria for SDP are here. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/severe-disability-premiumMissy-D1956 wrote: »Does anyone know the criteria for claiming this benefit ? Severe disablement allowance no longer exists.
What benefits do you currently claim? More information needed to be able to help you.0
