Just did not happen and YE just would not pass reading back to Tonik as they said once was enough and it was Tonik's problem.
I had to sort it with a copy of YE's first account which took six months.
As explained by Floretti above, suppliers don't pass readings to another supplier, but to the independent meter reading agency. It uses a data flow system that all suppliers are obliged to have access to.
Suppliers are permitted up to 8 weeks, not 6 months, to resolve any complaint - else you should ask the ombudsman to assist you.0 -

I know that. In fact I worked on remote reading projects (mains bourn and drive by signals) in the 1990s when the data flows were being developed.
But Tonik did not know that (or could not resolve where my reading was) as they asked for copy of YEs first account to establish the closing reading. The electricity market has become so complicated with too many players between generators and users with complex systems. It is a system with so many transactions waiting to go wrong.
I have used the ombudsman in the past, but it became tedious so I just did it myself.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I eventually got a final bill and it has now been over 10 working days so they now owe me another £30, just hope I eventually get the money.
Have raised a formal complaint, but don't know if that will actually help0 -
If a compensation payment of £30 is due to you under the rule as stated above, don't forget that Ofgem's rules also state that a further £30 is payable if the first compensation payment is not made within ten days of the missed deadline.0

Thanks for the advice, however my provider was Together Energy and reading other threads on here seems they won't pay people in credit who leave or the fines they owe. So now not sure will ever see my money again and could do with it sooner rather than later.
I hate to say, but when I switched to Together Energy it was actually at the recommended by the MSE energy switching service. Hope they are no longer recommending the company based on complaints on here0
