MFI Fitted bedrooms

I have seen a bedroom in the MFI showroom which I like, how are they now for quality of build and fitting? Is there anything we should watch out for?
Thanks,

We have had 2 bedrooms fitted with MFI wardrobes, and a kitchen over the last 5 years, and only had one fault with one of the wardrobes.
But, I dont think it was the fault of the actual product, DH tends to be a bit heavy handed, and I think he broke it, but he would never admit it.

TBH, everything that we ordered arrived, with everything intact, and we were more than satisfied.:D

At a guess I would say that MFI sub-contract the fitting to local 'fitting teams'. If this is true then it is pot luck to the quality of the fitting.

Get a quote from MFI to find out how much the fitting will cost, what cover you get with the fitting/the after sales service. If problems do arise what is the procedure....?

I guess that if a fitted bedroom cost £3000-£5000,then the actual fitting may cost £1500-£2000 on top of the purchase price.

Maybe it is worth getting quotes from independent fitters...?

    Good luck

Being an ex mfi fitter, they are screened and work inspected, any problems are generally sorted, what gives mfi a bad name are muppit sales staff,
anybody wanting anything from mfi firstly ask the salesperson how long they have been there. if only a short time then move on,
as for the quality i carnt knock it, but do fit it right, wardrobes go on the floor NOT on carpets, doors will always look and stay level. if fitted solid and level. best of luck
