    Morning all,
Sorry your MIL offended you nmlc & after all your hard work making things nice- how rude!!
The house is a mess but not a lot I can do about it with the flooring being replaced in the kitchen/dining/lounge.It's an open plan area & we keep having to move things around as DH does another bit.He did quite well yesterday & I acted as labourer so he didnt have to keep getting up. DGS came again as he wanted to 'help' We're a bit worried about him as he has always loved school and used to run in to nursery class and reception but the transition to Y1 isn't going as we expected :(.It's on his mind and he mentioned it again when we were dropping him back at home at teatime.DS spoke to his new class teacher on Friday, who said he'd keep an eye on the situation.

We had chicken kievs from the butcher last night. The only joints of meat I had in were beef, which the men didn't fancy as we'd had beef in some form a couple of times in the week.Apple pie to follow.

Right I'd better get cracking with the chores,I've stripped the beds and need to sort them first.Hope you all have a good day xx

  • Very damp here this morning, washer on but it will be in the dryer, no wind at all so even if the rain clears its not going to dry on the line.

Waiting for someone to collect a parcel which is going to a friend in Scotland......actually its a large cardboard box hence the courier rather than parcel post.

Cleaner due this week. I do my best to keep it tidy and dusted on the week she does not come, but OH is so untidy, drives me nuts. I do not want a pristine house where you are afraid to sit down, but I do like it tidy.

Spent ages yesterday looking for a thread chart, I had moved it from where it was, found it eventually only to find it was for poly embroidery thread and not rayon....gggrrrr.

Cold lamb with veggies tonight, will do some mashed spud. I was going to do rasps in jelly only to discover I had no jelly....hhmmmm.
  • Afternoon all. It's a bit brighter here this afternoon so I hope my washing will dry. We did some food shopping this morning. I made soup for lunch and an apple and blackberry crumble for pudding. We only have pudding once a week but there is often home made cake in the tin.Dinner will be cold pork with chips and salad for DH and DS and I will have an omelette.

Nelski nice to see you posting. Holly H enjoy yout coffee and cake after your good deed.

Well enjoy the rest of your day folks. Hugs and spoons all round.
