Sticky marks left by labels

Any tips on getting rid of the sticky marks left on boxes (usually the ones with a clear plastic cover) when you try to peel off the sticky labels - the ones with the price tag/3 for 2 labels etc. ?? I always think that they look like a big 'reduced' sticker I have tried to peel off!! Thanks for any bright ideas xx:confused:

Use iron on silk setting, then peel away - you can place a tissue, layer of fabric between iron and box if you're concerned that box will suffer(it won't though)

Wow - you lot are fast workers! I quickly wrote a reply to someone else's thread and by the time I came back you had already replied. There is a Lakeland in my local shopping centre, so will def give that a go. I will also try the iron. As well as at Christmas, we often have this problem when wrapping a child's birthday present 5 mins before we have to leave for the party. The end result is usually that the present ends up smelling of wd40 (which doesn't work very well incidentally!)

Nail polish remover might lift it, or rubbing it with blu-tac or a pencil eraser. Failing that you could get some bigger shiny stickers and stick a few on the package.

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
  • Lakeland sticky stuff remover is great for this.
  • Nail polish remover.

    Its magical!
