Very credit account

On Friday evening I applied for a Very account to take advantage of the 12 months interest free and initial % discount. I got through with the congratulations message and was offered a £3000 limit and just had to sign the agreement online. At this stage my phone rang and I cancelled the call, however as I went back to the application it had disappeared and it was showing he Very home page. This has now come up on my credit file as a hard search.
I rang very and they said they couldn’t see my account or application and I said would have to apply again , this then putting another hard search on my credit file!
My question is ; surely they must have a record of this and it’s ridiculous I will have to apply again once I was approved.
Any advice where to go with this ?

Why would you cancel the call knowing you had just applied for credit and may well get a verification check?
That aside another search won't hurt, it's just a search not 100 of them0 -
The call was from brother I cancelled the call because I was in the middle of the application .0

Ahh I see, sorry I misunderstood.
Still don't think 2 searches from the same company will cause you any bother.0 -
People get paranoid about what’s on their credit file, if you want the credit, then apply again, if you don’t, then fair enough, forget about the search.
Yes what’s in your file needs to be monitored, but not every little thing, another credit search won’t harm you in the slightest.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Personally I think too much emphasis is placed on the number of 'hard searches'. It has never caused me issues in the past.0
