Getting ex wife off mortgage

  • Sorry just seen you mentioned possible see other mortgage adversers so kinda answer my question already.
So is this something that ACG could possibly help me with?

He is a whole of market, adverse credit mortgage broker. It's always worth a chat so you know what you need to do to get the end result you are aiming for.

It may not be possible now, but in six months, based on current criteria. Until you speak with a good adverse credit advisor you are shooting bin the dark and not knowing what you need to do.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Sorry just seen this reply
I’ll PM him some time next week I’m abit nervous about it all but I know it needs to be dealt with so best start looking at brokers. Thanks again for all your help

You have done well to go from a negative equity in 2012 to a positive equity of £84,000.

Use the £900 to clear the smallest CCJ and look at taking your ex off. Your salary and mortgage amount needed are nearly the same so you should be able to find something.
  • Yeah I will do thanks well the combination of paying the mortgage never borrowed against it or released equity so like I say owe In the region of £46,000 somwhere along them lines so if my house is say worth around £130,000 what would my LTV be absolutely shocking with numbers lol

Well you could play the system and overpay the mortgage at the expense of the CCJ's. Though depends if you require any form of finance in the future as paying off a CCJ at £20 suggests little committment to do so from a lenders perspective.

Personally I would target the CCJ's and let the mortgage continue to run. There's little your ex can do about forcing you to move on. Not ideal but sometimes needs must.

You probably want to get your ex off the mortgage as soon as possible while she is amicable, as she may decide at some point in the future that should would like some of her legal equity from the property.
