Well yes, but not quite as unlikely as 'a light fell on my head'!! :D:D:D

(ps - I do hope you know I'm joking and I love you really xxx)

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The bloody thing could have killed me :D the band got a good laugh out of that one, not quite as hillarious as the time a stupid lampie forgot to drop my hydrolic drum riser before setting off the pyro (big fireworky explosive things) 6 inches from me. I learned that night my carpet isn't fireproof and flying 12 feet across a stage smarts a bit :rotfl:

I take it "Health and Safety" is a new fad in the music industry...

Well, they do risk assesments, then put some doofus in charge of things like putting the breaks on the risers, so poor drummy starts wheeling across the stage with every hit on the kick drum, safety chains seem to be a bit of a 'nice to have' too.

It's almost always human (or gibbon) error.

But that's true for virtually all accidents. A nice interlocking thing like "Explosive can't go off until drummy is out of the way" would be nice/obligatory. Then they can stand there stabbing at the button and wondering why it's not working until the clouds of confusion disappate...

There is quite a few pubs right by New St Station so we can all meet up there-if you are interested in a GREAT pub (but not really a DFW bar) the Baccus is soooooooooooooooo cool (A regualr hangout from when I worked at Rackhams) or saying that, a night overnight in Brum may be just the thing! Hi Len - I work Saturday Evenings - but will try to swap my shift. I'm not over-optimistic as the other drivers don't like working Saturday evenings - I tried to swap today's shift so that I could go to my youngest daughter's birthday party, in Manchester, but no-one wanted to know.
So, if I can swap - then I'll come - if not, I'll be there 'in spirit' (large Glenlivet).
