    Don't be silly! I had another idea last night which I'll look into, driving and train, so I'll check that out too..... After thinking about it again, I'm not sure how comfortable I am driving into Birmingham, having never been there before - esp after the fun we had driving in London last night!

    Sad to tell you I cant come :(:(

    OH's parents are not very well (both 80+) and we are saving up now for the inevitable funeral trip 'up country'. Could be early or late next year (for one or both :eek: )

    Must prioritise on these things.

    I hope everyone has a wonderful time - dont forget to take lots of photos.

    scrap that ~ i just found this for £55 per night instead of £71 but you can get £20 back through pigsback bring the total to £35 :j meaning £17.50 each :D

    Unfortunately, I think I'll have to pass on Birmingham too :o

    Absolutely stony broke here, and I need to find £200 by mid Jan for DS's school holiday.
    Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:
