Ebay - Time of the month / year!!

I've had one non payer in the last two weeks , but the best one ongoing is the e-cheque, the first payment didn't clear they sent me an email saying the payment was going to fail and they'd put money into their paypal account to make sure it was paid. I then filed a NPB dispute and i had an email back saying they'd paid with another e-cheque and as they'd now paid twice could they have one of the payments back
. The second e-cheque is supposed to clear on Thursday i'm not counting on it clearing. But the most annoying thing is that they've paid for other items since winning mine.
What is the point of an e-cheque, can you stop payments by them?0 -
I am selling new 35mm SLR Canon camera and the number of folk who cancel saying they thought it was a digital SLR is amazing.
A digital SLR for under £100........are they smoking something??? :eek:0 -
i had a buyer last week who won the item, didnt pay so i opened a dispute,6 days into the dispute i got an email asking where his item was and why was it taking so long,i said you havent paid for your item so i still have it,he then told me he thought payment was automatic and then asked me how to go about paying for it.
he soon paid via paypal....work permit granted!0 -
I even got a negative feedback by mistake (she clicked the wrong button), how annoying is that, of course once its done its done. My sales on ebay have been dire lately, I think I'll give up until after Christmas.

I've had that as well!! Buyer insisted they had logged their card with ebay and couldn't understand why ebay hadn't used it to pay me for my item!
Oh and don't forget coming up to Christmas we can look forward to buyers expecting the magic fairy to deliver their items within 5 minutes of paying for them  I don't know whether it is the fact that my feedback states that I post quickly (lots of lovely positives all saying super fast delivery etc) or whether buyers have the attention span of an ant, but the percentage of people who buy one day and ask whether I can rush delivery so they get it next day (and no they don't want to pay extra for special delivery).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sellers not reading descriptions, claiming things have arrived broken, or failing to pay. I'm getting fed up with the lot of it. I also have a funny feeling one buyer may be about to tell me her item hasn't arrived, since it was sent days ago, and she has just sent me (rather bizzarely I thought) a message to tell me how much she is looking forward to receiving it

Allways make sure that you use a delivery service that has to be signed for so that you have proof of delivery.0 -

Send them this link so that they can remove the feedback:

I know what you mean. We sell beds that are made to order, and we deliver using our own transport. We once received a neutral feedback from someone who lived in the Highlands because he had to wait 10 days (most shops take at least 1 month

The cheapest method for items under £34 would obviously be recorded but for several reasons I prefer not to use it and to 'self insure' instead. Firstly the percentage of recorded that actually gets signed for seems to be on a downward spiral, thread after thread on here mentions examples of no signature being obtained or items never showing as delivered. You might as well throw your 70p away.
Secondly the cost, 100 parcels a month all sent recorded would be an extra £70  I would prefer to keep that money myself and refund promptly , through gritted teeth if necessary and then reclaim my losses from the RM. I would have to lose a lot of parcels to make £70 a month worth while. I would accept that buyers pay for the postage, btu in reality you do lose out if your postage is higher than your competitors..so indirectly sellers actually pay. An example would be a book I was looking for last week. I can buy it in the High Street at £15 so was looking at around £12 delivered on Ebay, I merely added the post and packing to the item cost and went with the one that was overall cheapest..the sellers loading their postage by 70p were mmediately left out as being more expensive.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
