Very strange symptoms. Some keys don't work... 2 w s x b space and "\" generates "\18:52 14/09/2019" !?
Have reseated the keyboard ribbon cable; an external keyboard works. Tried diagnostics and it reflects the same problem.
Tried a different laptop keyboard (second-hand) and a different set of keys don't work... - + / + = (ie a set top-right of the keyboard);
Looks like a motherboard fault to me. Could this be a software thing? I've uninstalled the PS/2 driver. Getting deparate now...Cheers.

it could be a software thing. Every time I have has this, it has always been the electronics. Usually for me it was the electronics on the keyboard end, but not always.
A few times I could calculate which line it i by converting the ascii character to binary, and after comparing a few characters found one line that, never changes, but as integration became more encompassing, the task became pointless, but it still could be a bad ribbon connector or broken track0 -
I don't believe this. I've updated the BIOS. And it seems to have fixed the issue. I won't believe it until its worked reliably for a couple of days at least. And I usually tell people to leave the BIOS alone.
Just last week a BIOS update (Toshiba) got a SSD working.
Will report back...If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
In my day they had a chip that converts the DIN serial keyboard to parallel data, now it seems to be bios.
I do not understand this vid, but after 15:10 mins it possibly describes the items you want
