Advice on flights, villa and insurance

Hi all,
A few weeks ago we booked a villa in corralejo for next year, we've only paid the deposit so far (£350) however I'm now worried about flights.... Ryanair are stopping flights to fuerteventura and I've today read that Thomas Cook could be going bust.
We were planning on booking in the next couple of weeks with Thomas Cook but obviously don't want to now, we don't yet have travel insurance and I'm worried we will end up not being able to afford to fly over there if the flights are scarce....
Does anyone have any advice or calming words of wisdom?!
Do we book the flights and risk them being cancelled? Or do we start looking for somewhere else to go?
Or just wing it and see where everything is next year?

There are other airlines which fly to FUE.
Use a credit card for any flight booking and you will have cover via section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act should anything go wrong with Thomas Cook.0 -
