The link that I posted explains how to do it. If you did it differently, you'll need to ask of the person whose instruction you followed.
At a guess, you would simply replace the folder of the same name with the folder that you copied earlier.
So just repeat what you did on your old install,(but as an added precaution, create a new folder on your Desktop) then cut the folder of the same name that you did on your old install and paste it into the new folder on your Desktop(you are doing this in case something goes wrong. In that case you can simply replace it from whence you found it). Then you can put the old folder in the place of the one you just cut away.
When you open Firefox, things should be as they were on your old install.0 -
Many thanks to all especially EveryWhere for all their help so far, also thanks to the other thread on here about a cheap way to install Windows 10.
I have Wndows10 home 64 running on my old Dell with a new SSD speeding it's way.
Not so happy with the way Win10 does things but sure I will get used to it.
As to Firefox I am slowly working my way through the ones I use from the paper copy of passwords I made and all will be back to normal soon.
I now have a spare hard drive, do not need to use it in the spare bay so thinking of installing it in an old HP laptop I have that was on XP, bought it in the states about 13 years ago, just to see if it would work.0 -

They will try to force you into creating or utilising a Microsoft account when installing Windows 10, but you can easily bypass that. Other than that, it's not much different in use. Not sure why you think that it is.0 -
B/Bill if you don’t like the Win 10 menu, there are alternatives:
Open Shell (free): https://open-shell.github.io/Open-Shell-Menu
Start is back ($3.99): https://www.startisback.com/0 -

Install Firefox, ensure Firefox is not running and closed, navigate to %appdata%, delete the existing Mozilla folder on your new installation, then copy the Mozilla folder from your USB stick into the %appdata% folder of the current install.
Mozilla should be exactly how it was on your old installation, with all data intact.0 -
