Drummonds - Excellent!

I have recently opened an account with Drummonds, in London. I opened a Reward Silver account for £10.00/month. The inside of the branch is very lovely and the staff are very friendly. It's like going back in time, no machines, not even an ATM! I would give them a 10/10, overall, for excellent service and an excellent product.

What do you get for your £120 annual fee? Apart from a bank with a lovely inside and friendly staff?0

Thanks for your reply, I get the following (all RBS/NatWest silver account benefits):
UK and European Travel Insurance
Mobile Phone Insurance
Tastecard Membership
Cinema Discount (up to 40%)
Free debit card transactions, worldwide
Enhanced travel money service0 -
Aren't Drummonds just RBS by another name, and without a switch incentive?0
-
The tastecard thing is identical to meerkat meals
The travel money, you can get that for free from the likes of revoult.
European travel insurance costs about £5 a trip, and not sure why you need UK travel insurance but that costs about £1 and get meetkat meals from it.
The cinema discount i get with CSSC discounts for half the price along with the tastecard, along with English Heritage membership, along with 5% off supermarket shopping, and a load of other discounts.
Doesnt seem worth it to me.0 -
For the Georgette Heyer fans, being able to draw on Drummonds may have a charm that is almost impossible to price, but while her books are lovely places to visit, I wouldn't want to live there.0

Do you have a special Drummonds-branded debit card?0

If you require private banking services you get what you pay for. Majority of people have no requirement.0 -

And your reason for telling us this is?
How can you give them a 10/10 for service when you haven't really had any yet? If there are no machines, then I guess you have to queue up with all the other plebs who are also £120 down to get anything done.
I can think of many things that are like going back in time but that doesn't make them good - e.g. diphtheria, rickets, the Lancia Beta, World War II - the list is endless.
Apologies, 100dollarbill for being facetious - I couldn't resist.0
