Utility Point Billing Errors

I renewed my gas & electric fuel contracts to start on August 9th 2019.
I have just looked at my Utility Point statements for August & September & noticed that there are numerous billing errors.
The billing is a right old mess wrong unit prices, wrong standing charges etc etc.
Double check your bills if you are with them.

In what way are there "numerous billing errors" ?
You mention "wrong unit prices, wrong standing charges etc etc."
Could it be that they are still charging you at the old tariff?
Or if they have changed tariff, are you sure it is not in line with the renewal confirmation you would have received?
Is it simply that VAT is generally not included on unit charges, standing charges, etc, when billed but added to the subtotal at the end? Whereas your quote may have included VAT.
More detail please.0 -
They have not charged the old rates or the old standing charges or the new rates or the new standing charges.
For example.
New gas rate 2.93p charged at 2.923.
Old gas rate 2.787p
New electric standing charge 16.45p charged at 15.670p
Old electric standing charge 10.499p
VAT has nothing to do with it.0 -
.1567*1.05 = .164535
Although cannot comment on the others0
