    If it were me I would buy somewhere and give the LL notice after exchange. If the LL wants you out earlier and serves the correct notice and wants you out in January you still don’t have to move out until you are ready.

    There’s lots of posts about this, have a look G-Ms stickies, there’s tons of helpful (and reliable) information.

    I would also like to buy, but I am very cautious because economic growth all over the world is sinking quite rapidly, and a global recession (in fact the first ever more or less synchronised global recession) is on the cards. Markets, including the stock market and property market, will not avoid getting sucked into any financial maelstrom.

  • Some people say their purchases took ten weeks, others say more like six months! I have an Agreement In Principle from a mortgage provider though and there are quite a few chain free properties on Rightmove. So I think it is doable in some form.

    I had an offer accepted on 25/2/19 ... exchange isn't anywhere in sight and I am buying an empty property!
