So I phoned today and made the payment then sent my N244 over to them by e-mail. Can I just check I am correct in thinking sending by e-mail to ccbcfees@justice.gov.uk is okay and I don't have to send by post???

The guidence e-mail says: Court fees can be paid by a Cheque or Postal Order made payable to HMCTS or by contacting the Helpdesk on the number below between 9.15 and 15.30 Monday – Friday or on the Court’s last working day of the month between 9.15 and 15.00.

After payment has been made via phone the application can be emailed to: ccbcfees@justice.gov.uk.

But now I am second guessing myself and worrying that they mean an application for help with fees not the N244?

    Thank you again :)

    Email is fine.

Call and ask if they've got it and it is ok if you're nervous (to send via email rather than the content :rotfl:)
  • Hi all received this today. What do you all think? I dubious having already paid the £255, however my priority is to get the CCJ set aside? Its from the parking company... Would really appreciate your thoughts.

We refer to your recent correspondence,

Having considered your circumstances we would be willing to draft you a consent order to assist your application to set aside your CCJ. however we would only be willing to send you this order if you were to agree to pay the original (£60) parking charge plus admin costs and fees we have incurred in trying to recover payment of the pcn. Limited to £25 making a total of £85.

The terms of the draft consent are as follows:

    CCJ set aside
    Claim dismissed
    No order for costs

This would also mean you would not have to pay the court £255 but rather an application fee of £100.

If you would like to discuss this further please call.

Well i wouldn't but YOUR priority is removal and this all but guarantees it.

Do you want to pay to get what you want or do you want to get it after a fight you hope to win ?

None of us can answer the question for you.
  • Thank you everyone, well it looks like the decision has been taken out of my hands anyway. My case has already been referred to my local court so no going back now. Quick turn around from submitting Thursday to hearing back Saturday. I'm impressed! I figure I have a very strong case so should do quite well in court. The fact that the claiment even recognises that the CCJ should be set aside on some level should work in my favour. Any idea how long it usually takes to get a court date now its been transfered to local court?

Thank you again everyone, would not have got this far without your help. I will keep you all updated.

It's only too late once a judge has issued a decision.

Depends how big a mess your local court is in. Few weeks to many months.
