Hello,
Is there a way I can increase the water pressure in my shower? I've checked the stop !!!! and it's completely open, and there's no other buttons or options on the shower handle to turn more. Is there anything I can do to increase the water pressure as the shower is still a bit lacklustre.
I'll check outside and the water meter maybe and see if that valve is fully open too.
Thanks

What’s the pressure at the kitchen tap? Do you have a cold water tank in the loft or mains fed hot water from megaflow type system?Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
No tank, just a combi boiler as far as I'm aware. Kitchen tap is okay, it's acceptable I suppose. Not the heaviest of torrents but workable. It's just the shower where I feel it's a little low.0

Assuming you mean a combi fed shower and not an electic.
They are required to have a widget in the head these days that restricts pressure to save water.
While that is all well and good , depending on the area you end up spending 9 times as long in the shower. It is usually easily removed, or just buy a new head where it can.
Google/youtube can help.0 -
Yeah not electric, well as far as I know, there's no unit on the wall, just the pipe + shower head.
Oh right, okay a new head might be worth a look then.0 -
Is there a pressure limiting valve with gauge on the incoming water supply?
They are usually positioned just after the stopKock?A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

Before buying a new head, take the existing head off the hose and see if you get significantly more flow.
Run it into a bucket for say 10 seconds with the head on and then repeat with the head off for the same time and compare the volumes of water.A man walked into a car showroom.

They look like these.
Have a look in the cupboard or wherever your stopkock is.A man walked into a car showroom.

What is your cold water flow rate? Check if from the kitchen cold water tap.
What is the boiler specification for max hot water flow rate?
If they aren't matched correctly it can cause the problem you are having.0 -
A combi fed shower is limited by how quick the combi can heat the water to a decent temperature for a shower. You are never going to get a great flow rate.0
