Usually month's rent and again for deposit. Possibly some frees.
Which country (NI, Wales...) are you in? Laws are different
Depending on what is provided maybe some furniture, bed linen, duvets & pillows, cooking stuff , cutlery, cleaning stuff (eg vacuum) and sometimes white goods (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave)0 -

England, specifically London if that makes any more difference?
Already accounted for rent & deposit just hoping to figure out all other costs.0 -
You might need to pay up front for the year for some things, like contents insurance and phone/broadband. You can probably get them as monthly payments but they will usually be more expensive that way. TV licence will also be more for the first 6 months as they make you pre-pay the whole year.
Gas/electricity will probably be based on estimates and they may be too low or too high for a little while until you have submitted more meter readings, so budget a bit more there if you can.
Make sure you get your council tax spread over 12 months rather than 10. They might be slow to send you a bill initially but don't spend that money as it will be backdated when it comes.
Will your car insurance (if you have one) get more expensive when you move, and is there an admin fee for an address change? Do you need to buy a parking permit from the council? They can be very expensive especially in London.
How are you planning to move your stuff and what will that cost?0
