Eon Secure Bill Tarif
I've just spoken to Eon about the next tariff we can move to and they gave the option of the Eon Secure Bill tariff. Does anyone know any details about this?
The website for it is useless
...and they can only post out T's and C's so I am waiting for them to do this.
It works out to be 16.3% more per month than our current direct debit, but the monthly bill is fixed for 12 months. It would work out to be £2 per day for us and our smart meter is already on £2.61 and we are only half way through the day without any unusual usage. We also have oil heating, so in the winter we could use more electric heaters and not have to worry about the cost. This would obviously only be a 1 year benefit as they would push the price up when the 12 months expired, but with brexit on the horizon, it may be a good hedge against oil prices going up or supplies being limited.
Has anyone else used or looked at this tariff?
Does anyone know what the fair usage terms of the contract might be?
Thank you in advance good MSE people!

According to the last paragraph, it does not have an upper usage limit.

That's interesting as the chap on the phone did say that there was something along the lines of a fair usage policy, but he could not give me details of that and said I would need to read the T's and C's. I'll report back here when I receive them next week.0

Hello Stuzo and welcome to the Forums.
Thank you for your interest in our Secure Bill tariff. This is a one year Fixed Term tariff with 12 equal Direct Debit payments based on past usage. These payments will stay the same for the duration of the contract regardless of how much energy is used.
There are some special features with this tariff and thought it might help if I mention these. It's only available to credit customers as a single rate tariff even if there's a two rate Economy 7/10 meter at the property. Customers with dual fuel or electricity only are eligible; gas only customers and those with prepayment meters aren't.
It's available to both existing and new customers through our telephone sales teams. It's not available through our website or the Price Comparison sites. Payment needs to be by Monthly Direct Debit and there are exit fees of £75 per fuel for changing supplier outside of the renewal period.
Where eligible, customers need to agree to having smart meters installed. Customers can stay on Secure Bill if we aren't able to fit them due to circumstances in the region or at the property. As you already have a smart meter, this wouldn't apply to you.
When the tariff comes up for renewal, any future quote will be based on the amount of energy used whilst on this tariff.
There are no additional discounts and I doubt it's the most competitive product. It's aimed at customers who want the peace of mind of knowing exactly how much they'll pay for their energy regardless of what they use. Pop your details on the Price Comparison sites to see how it stacks up against the rest of the market.
I'm sorry the T&Cs aren't on the website. I've asked for this to happen. There is some information on there. Must admit, it could be more comprehensive.
Hope this is of interest Stuzo. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

Spot on MoneyMate. As with all our tariffs, customers can move between them without picking up exit fees.
