Costs incurred due to a missed energy appointment

Hi,
Apart from the standard £30 compensation that an energy supplier has to pay for a missed appointment, does anyone have any experience of claiming additional costs/expenses from them?

We had our meter moved the other day and they missed the appointment by 5 hours, meaning that we got charged for the electrician to sit around for two hours doing nothing before going home. He then had to come back in the morning to plug it all back in, by which time all of the 'soft' frozen items in the freezer had defrosted.
I don't really care about the food, but I do object to paying for an electrician for two hours because the energy company couldn't be bothered to turn up.

Any ideas/suggestion - Many thanks
