Got myself out to collect the order for M&S and then forgot to do it! :rotfl: I took a pile of clothes to the CS and then went to W where I bumped into an old friend so we sat and chatted for ages. That's how I forgot. It was so nice to just chat.
I've done a washing load and fed DM and had a chicken salad for my brunch. Now I have my sore leg up and am watching Jonathan Creek on iPlayer - all the actors look so young, they make me feel my age.
I hope that everyone is having a good day.0 -
Afternoon all. Dumpling I am so glad that Lee is enjoying college. Holly H hi to you. Gers sounds like you had a good time with yout friend.
Today I have been sitting in the garden in between doing two wash loads and a small pile of ironing.
Root veg and bean stew for tea tonight. I had planned it when the weather was cooler but I am sure that we will enjoy it. OH had to rush down and help DD with the carpet cleanet this morning as she had forgotten how to use it. All sorted now and sitting room carpet came up well.
Have a good afternoon folks.

good afternoon chums odds and ends sort of day today ,almost packed for my jaunt to Torquay next week,I will be off at the crack of dawn on Monday morning as I have to drive into London to drop my car off at DD's ma-in-laws then we are taxiing to our pick up point for the coach It will make a nice change to be driven I must say.
History class this morning which was nice with delicious coffee and eton mess to eat as well
Sign of my DGS Jack growing up he gave me a pair of jeans the other day ,those with the rips in and asked if I could sew the rips up as he thought they now looked daftSo I very carefully hand sewed them for him and he was a happy lad this afternoon. He came to pick up some of his stuff for next weekend as when I come back from Devon I am taking his back to Uni in Hertfordshire and I have had four big bags of his stuff stored in one of my spare bedrooms. So my house is slowly getting back to normal after the summer break DGS Henry finishes his summer job on the local grass cutting and horticultural gang today and he has two weeks off before he too is off to Uni,although he is off to Essex to study.
Tomorrow morning DGS Henry and I have a quick trip into London for his passport interview which you have to have if you are over 18 and its your first passport I did this last year with DGS Jack when he got his passport. Bit of bureaucratic nonsense, but it has to be done . I have got our train tickets already so its a quick walk around to the station then an hour on the train for a ten minute interview We may have a mosey around London as we are up there and the weather looks good.
Right the kettle is calling so it must be time for a coffee
have a great weekend chums and <<hugs >> for those who are not feeling so good
